Mr Pang Chin Soon started learning Chinese Flute (Dizi) and other instruments during his school days in Malaysia in 1975, after which, he chose to major in the playing of the ErHu and started conducting lessons in Malaysia in the early 80's.
In 1995, he became a full time instructor in Singapore and Malaysia, teaching across the borders in various schools, community centers, National University of Singapore - NUS Centre For the Arts' Instrumental Courses; and Associations.
Throughout his years as a music instructor, Mr Pang has been active in promoting the Chinese music culture, and has led different Chinese Orchestra groups on performances and exchange programme with troupes from other parts of the world.
